Suit to obtain site for Wilmette gas station
A mandamus suit filed in the Circuit Court seeks to force the Village of Wilmette to issue a permit for a gas station at Main Street Ashland Avenue and Sixteenth Street. Theft of Erickson Delivery Truck Reported in City
A truck from Erickson Delivery Service was stolen on Forest Avenue while a driver made a delivery at 1236 Forest. It carried groceries valued at 75 dollars from A S Van Deusen and George B Winter Inc. A man named Christianson later phoned that the truck was abandoned on Drake Avenue in Chicago, but the groceries were not.

Chamber groups to move offices in Wilmette
The Wilmette Chamber of Commerce and First Federal Savings and Loan Association will relocate from 1137 Central Avenue to the ground floor at 1126 Central Avenue. The move is scheduled for May 1 as rooms are prepared for occupancy.
