Warner L Norin died at his Willmar home Friday Sept 11 at 3 45 pm after a paralytic stroke two years ago He served twelve years as county treasurer and was a leading public figure in Colfax and Willmar born April 20 1855 in Vemdalen Sweden He moved to this country in 1866 and held multiple local offices He leaves wife Martha Erickson seven children and one grandchild with survivors including a brother Andrew and sister Mrs Anna Henschien Funeral at the Swedish Mission church followed by burial at Fairview cemetery

About fifty cars joined a Sunday surprise at the East Norway Lake parsonage for Rev Mons A Sotendahl of the Norway Lake area. The gathering, planned by church members from East and West Norway Lake and Spring Creek, delivered a fundraising gift of 430.75 dollars for a new auto to reach his broad parish.
