Rykken Estness Wedding at Eagle Lake Church

Miss Bertha Josephine Rykken and Hildas Estness wed at Eagle Lake church on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. Mousekeepers Meet at Odd Fellow Hall October 1

The Housekeepers' Club will meet at Odd Fellow's Hall Saturday October 1 at 3 p m. The program includes a violin solo by Miss Nettie Marlow reading by Margarite Stockwell a duet by Comilla Parkins and Ethel Bergeson a recitation by Erhard Bergeson and a piano solo by Miss Palmer.

1910 Street Fair a Winner in Willmar

The 1910 street fair in Willmar surpassed past fairs with four days of good attendance despite threatening weather. Highlights included the Mexican Zamora family and Rolla’s slides on Fifth street, grand fireworks by Gregory Fireworks, and strong Willmar Military Band performances. The horticultural tent, miniature farm display, and extensive art and domestic exhibits drew steady crowds, while the fruit, dairy, and poultry shows earned praise. Booths hosted by local businesses showcased progress and civic spirit, and parades and auto floats drew large crowds, marking the 1910 fair as a standout event.

Gordhamer Wins 1911 Model Buick at Willa Fair Parade

Miss Jeanetta Gordhamer captured the Buick automobile prize in a Willa fair event. Henry Os Mmundson drove the decorated car with Gordhamer as sole passenger amid ribbons and flowers. Final tallies showed modest excitement and strong fundraising by contestants and friends. Nearby, Friday marked James J. Hill’s 72nd birthday as he remained active.
