Big annual county fair attractions face changes this year
The county fair opens with vaudeville shows and band concerts but weathered acts suffer mishaps. A trick bicycle rider is hospitalized, an air act canceled, and a balloon wreck ends aerial displays. Fireworks will be used instead and an aeroplane exhibit is impracticable. Soldiers Day Friday offers free admission for veterans in uniform. Andrew Johnson of Minneapolis arrived for a visit.
