Mystery of Jesse Turner Death Remains Unsolved
A month after Jesse Turner died in an accident authorities fail to locate any relatives. Identified as from Paullina Iowa, Turner’s mail and telegrams to friends Ye and Parker yielded no leads. Iowa state secretary provided two names, but messages returned no information. Sheriff Lundquist traced A J Nord of Lake Elizabeth for willful destruction of property, Nord pleaded guilty and paid 25 dollars.

The Teachers Institute for Kandiyohi county began Monday afternoon in the Kuamesa room at Willmar Seminary with Dr. Colgrove of St Cloud in charge. Death of Magnus Sletten at 25 in Willmar
Magnus O Sletten died at his Litehield avenue home after a year of illness from quick consumption aged 25 years 8 months. He had been confined to bed weeks, spent five weeks at Casa Lake with his brother and Victor Nelson hoping climate would help, then returned home and died peacefully. He was born January 20 1875 on the Sletten homestead in Willmar and leaves wife, one-year-old daughter, mother Mrs Slewen, five brothers Nels Thorval and others, and former member of Slet ton Bros. implement firm and Hook and Ladder Co No 1.

Train Wreck Near Dassel Kills One, Injures Forty
A Great Northern east bound passenger train No 10 derailed one mile west of Dassel after the refrigerator car left the track. Conductor J P Devaney and Engineer J Merrick survived. one man died, about forty injured. Survivors were evacuated to St Paul hospitals. a special train carried the passengers to their destinations. An unidentified man found dead in the wreck bore old clothes and carried 65 cents.
