Willmar Street Fair Opens With Judging and Dazzling Displays

Exhibits fill the fair with judges from state departments including Washburn Lane and Haroldson for poultry fruit and dairy while a St Paul expert handles fancy work. The Swedish Dancers return with a larger tent and new stunts as the Willmar Glee Club plans nightly performances before the park fireworks.

Kandiyohi County Fair Features and Prizes

The Kandiyohi Booth announces a daily four page program and Liberal prizes in a man hunt contest. The fair showcases an ever bearing strawberry plant and a 60 variety grass exhibit from Kandiyohi county with John Ahlstrom in charge. The Willmar Fire Department hosts a harvest ball at Bonde Hall each fair evening. Mrs. E K Adams visits family in Willmar and heads home to Seattle after the Washington event.

Willmar fair parade to award civic prizes at four daily

Tomorrow marks the Town and Country Civic Parade with line formation at the Public Library corner from two oclock. Participants include officials fire department Willmar Military Band Woodman Drill Team Boy Scouts floats rigs and comical show units. Prizes total up to three dollars for best farm float and related categories with multiple first and second awards and special prizes for distance, family presence, odd rigs and a marching cow.

Willmar Street Fair Daily Schedule Promises Variety

The Willmar Street Fair lists a full program with Band Concerts by the Willmar Military Band at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. A 2:00 p.m. Verde Trio and acrobatic acts on Fifth Street appear, followed by shows on Pacific Avenue. Evening events include further band performances, the Verde Trio, dogs, Jones Brothers, a Willmar Glee Club sing and fireworks.

Reimestad Cranston Concert Set at Lutheran Free Church

Lutheran Free church plans a sacred concert on September 22 with Prof Theodore Reimestad and Kenneth Cranston, famed Minneapolis tenor soloists, to benefit the pipe organ fund. They will perform solos and duets of Scandinavian and American songs, with a full program to be announced next week.
