Collision of freight trains at Grove City causes wreck
A rear end collision occurred last Monday at Grove City when extra freight No. 1504 struck local freight No. 571 at the depot. The caboose was demolished and a coal car damaged. The engineer and fireman were uninjured, while Conductor G W Pipe suffered a minor injury from the crash. Track cleared by seven the next morning.

Real Estate Deal Involving Adams Swenson and Krook
A. P. Adams arranged this week for H. Swenson of Big Stone County Minnesota to own a 242 acre improved farm on section 29 in Willmar. EF. Krook of Ogden Utah acquired a fine Clinton Minnesota store building and an $8000 stock of general merchandise. Krook previously nearly moved to Willmar last spring in a plan with Martin Olson of Atwater for the Willmar Furniture stock. A death in Lake Lillian claimed the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olof Linn from summer cholera. The funeral was held at their home with interment at Christine cemetery officiated by Rev. J. O. Lundberg. The library flower show Saturday and Friday promises a garden exhibit in the lecture room with seeds from the club, prizes for Sweet Peas Nasturtiums and Pinks, and children’s displays of the flowers. Peter Myers and Henry Myers returned from Alford Iowa.

Robbery in Cokato Ends With Jailbreak Escape
Albert Pihlstrom, a Dassel Anchor compositor, was robbed in a Cokato saloon by two men who bought drinks and allegedly drugged him. He later found money and a watch missing. the thieves were arrested on postage stamp charges, released, then recaptured at Smith Lake, with part of the money recovered and the watch and ring still missing. They broke jail and remained at large.

Pioneer Hans Nilson dies after long illness in St Johns
Hans Nilson born March 4 1840 in Lange land Denmark died at his St Johns home after years of asthma and complications. He homesteaded near Willmar in 1872 and 1886 acquired railroad land at Sec 13 Willmar. Survived by wife Brita and ten children three died in infancy. Funeral next Friday at home and St Johns church.
