Auto accident injures four year old in Benson avenue area
A four year old, daughter of Mr and Mrs Brede Johnson, was run over by a car on Benson avenue near Berkness Patagon and Lee Store Friday afternoon. She suffered a badly fractured leg and other injuries but the driver, An laren Hedin, was not to blame after a quick stop and police and medical aid responded. Struck by Westbound Flyer Injures Swede Hill Lady
Mrs. John Hf. Erickson of Swede Hill was struck by west bound Flyer No. 3 at the Tenth street railroad crossing. She suffered a second finger fracture of the right hand, cuts and bruises, and clothing torn. She was found semi conscious, removed to a nearby house then returned home, with injuries likely keeping her off work for some time. Four local boys helped locate her after the incident.

Willmar City Council Holds Regular October 22 1908 Meeting
Willmar Minnesota city council met in regular session with Mayor and eight Aldermen present. Bills were approved after Finance committee review, including payments for street labor materials and public works. Resolutions authorized warrants for improvements and readings of ordinances discussed street grading from Trott Avenue. A new street commissioner was elected to replace the resigned Peter Bonde and salary set at 60 dollars monthly.
