Chesbrough of Cando ND spent Sunday guest at W. E. Somerville home. Miss Aren Hanson who teaches at Burbank spent Sunday at her parental home here. Miss Corn Osmundson left last Thursday for a short visit with friends at Benson.

Willmar plans Nebish colonization in Beltrami county

A Willmar group forms the Willmar & Nebish Colonization Company buying 6,500 acres of land along the Red Lake railway near Nebish for a farming community. The tract includes 3,000 acres of level land suitable for potatoes and truck farming, 2,000 acres with hardwood timber, and 1,000 acres near the river with stock and potato potential. The project centers Nebish village on Lake Nebish with a depot, store, shingle mill, hotel, school, and telephones, aiming to attract small farmers and develop a trading center.

Willmar Will Soon See State Hospital Progress

State Board of Control members and architect inspected the Foot Lake project in Willmar. The power plant, main building, laundry, and superintendent’s residence are underway with three auxiliary structures planned. Lighters Farm Adopts Electricity For Lighting

Ole Peterson installs a Peterson Retrum Battery Electric Lighting system with 22 sixteen candle power lights in his home barns granary and creamery. A 69 watt yard lamp lights the area. batteries are recharged every two weeks by a gasoline engine. Mr Schmidt demonstrated lights at the Street Fair. How Murderer Dygart Was Detected in Arctander

Walter Nelson who runs the Jackson farm in Arctander identified Dygart, the alleged murderer, from a scar while observing a gang plow. Delicatessen to Open Friday in Rodlan Building

Mrs. Geo W. Johnson announces the opening of a Delicatessen store on Benson Avenue in the Rodlan building two doors west of Carlson Bros.
