Franks Fully Vindicated In Murder Case
Jurors found no credible evidence linking Joseph F Franks to Carl Anderson s death. Witnesses and fingerprints were disputed and a grand jury found little material against him. Franks, a Willmar resident, had been jailed amid sensational rumors and police probes before the case faded. A local portrait firm urged early Christmas orders amid rising demand.
