City Schools Enroll Record High Students on October 1
Enrollment in city public schools on October 1 reached a new high, about 50 more than the same date in 1921. Nine new pupils entered the grades last year as officials note the heaviest enrollment in school history.
Four Year Old Boy Dies In Hazel Run Barn Fire

County Horseshoe Tournament Set for Sunday in Willmar
The second county horseshoe tournament of the year will be held Sunday afternoon in Willmar. Entries are being taken at the Dodge Service Station and the Edison Shop. Builders win Sauk Centre State School project

Four hunters fined for open water hunting on Lake Elizabeth
Warden Olzon and Warner detained four hunters last week for hunting on open water at Lake Elizabeth. Each was fined 11.15 dollars totaling 11.15 dollars per person. Fire Destroys Barn Garage and Homes in Sixth Street Blaze
A morning fire on Sixth Street destroyed the Olson barn and a Campbell garage, spreading to a Wright chicken house and other structures. Fire crews used two hoses from Sixth Street and Seventh Street mains, with water delivered by pails to protect nearby houses. Losses include two stores, two bicycles, storm windows, and Mrs Olson’s furniture. Olson was away and uncertain of total damage.
