Mra F H Knox and Raymond friends, Willmar Seminary enrollment near fifty, visits to Grove City and Minneapolis, new jobs at Great Northern depot, and local property transfers. The Postoffice Department aims to reestablish all rural free delivery routes in Kendiyobi county to ensure daily mail within half a mile of every residence. About twenty five routes will be reorganized over ten weeks under Special Free Delivery Inspector W J Munro. An additional city mail delivery plan will be coordinated with Inspector Munro.
Next Saturday the only football game of the season here will feature the local high school team against Litchfield. The match is expected to draw a large crowd to help defray travel expenses, with admission 25 cents. The game starts at 3 30 p m on the old ball grounds and both teams are evenly matched for a good contest.
Rev A F Seastrand from Smiland Sweden, age 38, will take charge at the Swedish Lutheran Lebanon church in New London this week. He plans his first sermon next Sunday morning and comes with regret from his former charge in Minnesota.

The Walby family of New London hosted tid at the O Strand home Sunday while rain kept residents inside. Mr and Mrs Jacob Poshager were guests at the O Njos home last Sunday. B Ekren repaired his granary and Per Nelson erected a new granary on his farm. Mrs Mary Sampson of aon, Iowa, visited Thor, Iowa, last Saturday to see relatives. The funeral of Mrs Tasbella Henderson at Spicer Thursday drew many Willmar residents paying respects.
A string of October weddings unfolds in Willmar area with Ida Nygren and Arthur Erickson, Ole Johnson and Sophie Grevold, Ella Ostlund and William Schilling, Lacy Downs and Kelly, plus Mabel LoJone and LaRoy McAliay. S Stenberg works Kandiyohi grading for Nels Norsil, Aug Olsons report sick horses slowing plowing, Peter Moasberg awards well and windmill project.
Tripolis Rev S A Lindholm leaves for Milwaukee to attend the bi annual General Council meeting of the Ev Lutheran Church of America as delegate from the Augustana Synod. The council unites about ten synods across northern states and some south states.
Nels Mortenson, 20, of Litchfield, was struck by an east bound passenger near the railway yards and dragged under engine wheels injuring his right leg requiring amputation about ten inches below the knee. He also suffered head and neck contusions and facial bruising. He is ongoing under care at Dr McLaughlin and his family in Litchfield were notified. The incident occurred during a storm while he was walking across the tracks en route to seek a fireman position after returning from work with Great Northern. His brother and relatives plan to bring him home as soon as his condition allows.
Rev. J A Spitz previously with the Ohio Conference is named pastor of the Englah M E church in the city. Bishop McDowell announced the appointment at the Northern I closing session last Sunday. He arrives this week to begin duties and conduct services next Sunday.
