Double funeral held at Basie Lake church in Green Lake area
A large crowd attended a Sunday afternoon service at Basie Lake church for two elderly community members. Rev E O Larsen led prayers and they were laid to rest in the church yard. Olof Erickson 68 died at his Green Lake home after heart trouble. He was born in Meda Skogen Sweden on May 37 1844 and moved to Minnesota in 1863. He served on School District No 60 and as deacon of Eagle Lake Lutheran church. He married Miss Anna Carlson in 1866 and left many children and twenty grandchildren. The second obit notes Ingvald Netland 56 died Friday in Dovre after a long illness. He was born in Norway June 16 1856 and lived in Eagle Lake as a church trustee and farmer. Jennie Elvira Carlson 28 died after a long illness in this city with services at St Luke's Episcopal Church. The paper lists other relatives and funeral details, including pallbearers and survivors.

Roseville stranger robs home. forged check ties to Blakely case
Albert Bulman, a stranger from Michigan, visited the Blakelys near Paynesville for work. A theft of $1,000 in CDs occurred. a forged $80 check bearing Aug Blakely's name was found.
