False hold up blamed on drunken delusion in Raymond area
Sheriff Bonde investigated a reported 11 80 a m hold up two miles east of Raymond near the Bay farm. Two suspects were found at Clara City but released after the alleged victim recanted, suggesting a prank fueled by booze. Municipal Court heard five Willmar youths admit breaking an electric street lamp on Sixth Street. they face payment to the city and sentencing next Tuesday.

At Lake Willan M Warner under a physician's care in Willmar. Peterson Johnson and Swenson visited Kandiyahi Lake on Sunday evening to view muskrat prospects. The locals doubt the muskrat show. Railroad crew shifts and wedding greet Willmar workers
Brakeman Chas Estemar is promoted to freight conductor on the Willmar division. Fireman Roy Bingham becomes an engineer and will run engine 64 in the Willmar yards. Fireman Joe Broberg, hurt in the Lyndon wreck June 11, can return to work and will switch in yards for a time. George H. Keyes, Santa Fe chief clerk at Winslow, Ariz., visited his brother-in-law De La Hunt after a stint as Willmar timekeeper. He notes Minnesota and the Great Northern seem less appealing. Conductor Ed Woodcock married Agnes Daugherty in Minneapolis, with a honeymoon including Fargo, Watertown, and Huron before returning home. Ed treats friends to cigars.

Sedevart Nelson, a 74 year old pioneer of Fahlun, Minnesota, died Oct 5 at his son Ninus Nelson's home from cerebral hemorrhage and old age. Born in Norway March 28, 1834, he emigrated in 1862, settled in Fahlun in 1864, and leaves a widow Sarah Hanson, four children Hemming S., Ninus F., Lena Frederickson, Swan Anderson, plus stepchildren. Funeral Monday at Lake Lillian Methodist Church with Rev. B. Oakland delivering the sermon. Burial in the church cemetery.
