Elvira Soderlund, 18, died at a Sauk Centre hospital from anemia. Her remains were shipped to Willmar and buried at Fairview this afternoon after services by Rev. Paul Hallin of the Swedish Baptist church. She is survived by her father Peter Soderlund and brother Clarence. her mother died in her childhood.

Home Guards Take 38 to Fergus Falls for Battalion Review
Thirty eight members of the local Home Guards plus officers traveled from the Armory at 5:30 AM for a twenty one hour trip covering 336 miles. Captain Klingenberg reports a splendid outing and a strong showing against three other Home Guard companies at the Fergus Falls Battalion Drill reviewed by Gov. Burnquist. Ragnor Thyden, who had surgery at Davison Hospital Tuesday morning, is recovering well.
