Gertrude Person Swedish immigrant and devoted wife dies
Gertrude Person widow of John Person died November 28 after a brief illness with pneumonia. A lifelong Christian, she organized the Swedish Bethel church in Willmar in 1891 and remained a faithful member. Born in Arrie Malméhuslin Sweden, she came to America in 1890 and lived a devoted life. Her husband and children mourn her passing as they await reunion.

Man Injured in Oil Cap Accident on Eastland Farm
C H Lunstead was drilling on the A P Eastland farm in Rose land town when his wet jacket snagged on a fly wheel shaft. He was tossed and his clothes torn before he could escape, suffering multiple injuries including a cracked shoulder blade and several broken ribs. He lies in Willmar hospital with a cast planned for today and a recovery of about three weeks. His family and friends express relief at his survival. A funeral is noted for Mrs Pergon and children from Duluth, with Rev G Peterson officiating at Fairview cemetery. Also included is a reader letter critiquing Congressman Volstead and a call for a resignation and shift to a majority-party representative.
