Willmar Board Seeks Bond Election for New EightRoom Schoolhouse
The Willmar Board of Education schedules a special election for Friday evening December 5 to vote on issuing 29 000 four per cent bonds to fund an eight room school building with future wings. Plans already drafted allow expansion while a Lincoln building remodel was rejected. Growth pressures include 90 more pupils since last November and overcrowded rooms, with the basement library space in use. Site discussions favor buying a full block and relocating or selling the present Lincoln property to fit a larger school. By acting early, state aid at four percent could help finish before fall, though exact site remains undecided. Community notices follow.
