Thanksgiving services at Tripolis Church

Thanksgiving services to be held at Tripolis church starting at 10 30 tomorrow. After services, dinner will be served to all attendees. Rev Gates Accepts Call to St Luke’s Parish Rector

In a letter to Senior Warden Nordin and clerk Russell Spicer Rev Horatio Gates accepts the call to be rector of St Luke’s church. He will arrive to lead services on Sunday December 6 and praises the unanimity of action and the ladies for freeing the church from debt before his tenure begins.

Seminary Weekend Notes at Foot Lake

Seminary students arrive for visits and review work as classes begin. The Boarding Club grows to twenty members under Ole Klovstad. Students plan Thanksgiving activities, attend church dinners, and enjoy a Saturday night social by Foot Lake. The band rehearses twice weekly and looks forward to a bright season with practice.

Willmar pastor to wed Ellen Upchurch in December

Rev J P Cumming, pastor of the M E church of Willmar, will marry Miss Ellen Upchurch. He left town last Thursday and will return with his bride December 4. A reception for the couple is planned at the home of Mr and Mrs H W Hell on East Litchfield avenue.

Thanksgiving Football Game Set Between Willmar and Litchfield

Tomorrow afternoon at Athletic Park Willmar and Litchfield independent teams clash in a brisk football contest. Admission to all grounds is 25 cents. The brief note promises an interesting time for attendees and suggests skipping the Minnesota Wisconsin game to catch this local gridiron event. Mrs Moho of Harrison Died After Illness At Home

Mrs Joseph Moho died at her Harrison home after a long illness of heart and lung troubles. She was 53, born in Watertown Wis, and came to the county about thirty years ago settling in Harrison. Survived by a husband two adopted children George and Mary a brother in North Dakota and three sisters in Minnesota and Montana. Funeral at 1 pm Saturday from the home to German Lutheran church, interment nearby.

Death of Edith Jackson in Lake Elizabeth

Lake Elizabeth correspondent reports the death of Miss Edith Jackson last Saturday morning. The funeral was held yesterday from the Swedish Methodist church. Atwater, Reavives Garnogia Money, City Treasurer Ramcott received a $93,000 check from Andrew Carnegie toward the public library debt. The Black Bay Mining Company issued a new prospectus last week with about 3,000 copies printed. Miss Tillie Kent left yesterday for Minneapolis to spend Thanksgiving with friends.
