Orphans Home Sought For Willmar Move

Willmar considers replacing the present Lamberton housed Orphans Home with a new facility. Rev Mattson and Rev Gynild promote relocation, seek large donations, and aim to place the home in Willmar. Location options include the Ole Peterson farm north of town. Collections totaling 8350 this week from three Lutheran congregations bolster the effort. The home would serve children from all congregations and may add an aged home later.

Miss Miller departs tonight for Minneapolis for Thanksgiving visit. A literary program by the 2nd division is today, with the next program planned two weeks from next Friday. No school Friday after Thanksgiving, so students visit homes. A marshmallow roast for Seniors was praised by attendees. Immigration discussion resumes next week with Kuutn Lacey and McDonald affirming, Wallace Martin Sherwood and Peterson opposing. Last debate before Stia debuted in the league. A Junior reportedly strung on a post office telephone wire. observations varied, but morning confirmed it resembled a Senior in costume as a Junior with a Sophomore aura and a Freshman expression. This evening at 7:45 the Women’s Missionary Society of the Fires Presbyterian church holds a praise service with church quartet and Misa Viorenos Porter. offerings will aid missionary work.

Tragedy Holds East Lake Lillian as Olga Lindfors Dies

Olga Lindfors an 18 year old girl in East Lake Lillian died from a self inflicted bullet wound in a grove near her father Jonda Lindfors home. The coroner Dr E S Frost ruled death caused by a bullet through the heart. The incident occurred after her father returned from an auction and the family were the sole occupants of the home. The burial plans are not stated. Mrs Nathan Sanders of Harrison dies after cancer operation in St Paul. Funeral in Harrison with Rev Dr Adams preaching at 2 30 pm Thursday. She leaves a husband and three children.

Death of Willmar man crushed under freight cars

John J. Powell formerly of Willmar is killed at age 34 in Minneapolis while foreman of a switching crew on a Wisconsin Central yard. He attempted a hand coupling after a chain broke, stumbled, and was run over by moving cars. Survived by wife and two children. Powell's body sent to East Side undertaking room.
