Wedding of Mr Aleck Wootenberg to Miss Ellen Lundberg

The Svea Lutheran church hosted the wedding of Mr Aleck Wootenberg and Miss Ellen Lundberg last Thursday at two in the afternoon. Rev. J. O. Lundberg officiated with Rev. S. A. Lindholm assisting, and the ceremony featured a Swedish Lutheran rite and a large reception. The couple will reside on the groom's farm near Roseland, with many gifts including $218 in cash. guests included family and friends from nearby towns.

Swedish Baptist Ministers Union Meetings Close Strong

The Swedish Baptist Ministers Union held a highly successful gathering last Monday evening with large attendance. The event featured vigorous sermons and discussions and resulted in ten conversions on Sunday. Swedish Lutheran Mission Meeting Held in Willmar

The Pacific district ministers except Rev Norsex gathered for a mission meeting in Willmar with services and discussions. Rev G C Soberg Atwater and Hallberg Litchfield preached. Clergy from Caseel Cokato and others led sermons and a discussion on Thy Kingdom Come.

Church collection for interior decorating praised by pastor

Last Sunday morning the pastor of the M E church asked the congregation for 8 60 to decorate the interior. The amount was contributed in a few minutes. The ladies proposed carpeting the church and completing the auditorium in Willmar. The manders and congregation are to be congratulated on the successful effort.

Cold Bath at Foot Lake Ducks In Skaters

A. Cold Bath: E. C. Wellin of the Leading Store and Thomas Moodie of the Willmar Gazette fell through an airhole while skating on Foot Lake. Axel H. Balse dodged the hole and pulled them to safety. Wellin sprained a knee and may be laid up briefly.

M. E. Ladies Host Tea At Weir Home

The M. E. Ladies Circle held a Tuesday afternoon and evening tea at the home of R. D. Weir. The event drew strong support and netted $90.25 for church finances. The group thanks all who attended and patronized the occasion.

Pioneer Lars Person Dies After 76 Years In Mamre

Lars Person aged 76 died of heart failure Thursday morning at Mamre. Born September 23 1825 in Koppar ergalin Sweden he emigrated to the United States in 1869 and settled on a Mamre farm. He leaves a wife and five children and was a longtime member of Mamrelund church. Funeral was held Monday afternoon with interment in the church cemetery.
