Rev. Thomas Scotton was ordained a minister of the gospel by St. Cloud Presbytery at Spicer Minnesota on November 10. He had passed his examination two years earlier but deferred ordination until now. Scotton chose Spicer for the service where he gave his first post ordination sermon after taking Sabbath School work in the presbytery.

New Flag Designed for West Central Minnesota Expo
Benson Minnesota November 15 The West Central Minnesota Development Association will unfurl a new flag at the Corn and Alfalfa Exposition November 26 27 and 28. Designed by Maurice Flagg of the Minnesota State Art Commission the flag features green and yellow corn and alfalfa colors with blue background and sixteen yellow stars representing the association's counties. The slogan Better Farming Better Living Better Business appears. Benson will host numerous flags for the event. E A Cleasly Portage Wisconsin district federal inspector urged forming a Bird Club for boys to study birds and protect useful species, arguing it would curb use of rifles and air guns.
