Dr Hill Speaks On Public Health In Willmar

Dr H W Hill secretary of the Public Health Association of Minnesota will address Willmar residents at the Commercial Club rooms next Tuesday at 8 PM. The talk is under the local Public Health Association and extra seating will be provided. Also notes on better poultry prices and Kandiyohi County Poultry Association membership. Miss Edna Lunstead spent Sunday at home near Priam.

Thomas Scotton Is Ordained in Spicer Minn

Rev. Thomas Scotton was ordained a minister of the gospel by St. Cloud Presbytery at Spicer Minnesota on November 10. He had passed his examination two years earlier but deferred ordination until now. Scotton chose Spicer for the service where he gave his first post ordination sermon after taking Sabbath School work in the presbytery.

New Flag Designed for West Central Minnesota Expo

Benson Minnesota November 15 The West Central Minnesota Development Association will unfurl a new flag at the Corn and Alfalfa Exposition November 26 27 and 28. Designed by Maurice Flagg of the Minnesota State Art Commission the flag features green and yellow corn and alfalfa colors with blue background and sixteen yellow stars representing the association's counties. The slogan Better Farming Better Living Better Business appears. Benson will host numerous flags for the event. Obituary Len Youngberg Ends Noted Saskatchewan Leader

John Olson of Estevan, returning from Minnesota, attends Len Youngberg’s funeral. Youngberg, 44, prominent Saskatchewan hotel owner with land and city holdings, died Nov 11 at Nicollet Hotel, Minneapolis. Survived by wife Tillie, daughter Mrs Fred Rushford, son Russell, stepmother, three sisters, three brothers, brother-in-law John Olson, nephew Roy Olson, plus other relatives. About 70 entered, 41 completed the Home Garden Contest judged by Mr. Poe and Mr. McNelly from May to August. Top scores ranged to 364 with prizes totaling 25 dollars from the Commercial Club. Girls earned top places, several honorable mentions noted, and sales of garden produce began contributing modest earnings. Miss Marie Sigurdson arrived from Minneapolis for a visit with Mrs. A. J.
