Fortune linked nephew seeks Neumann estate in Milwaukee case

Wires from Willmar tracked Oswald Sommer, a 25 year old son of Neumann's sister, who may claim a $75,000 fortune from the late Milwaukee restaurateur. Milwaukee officers seek Sommer, described as roam­ing the U S and reportedly in Chicago recently, with St Paul friends unable to locate him. Missing Mabel Dugan Plans Minot Trip After Christmas

Mabel Dugan stopped school last Wednesday and will leave for Minot North Dakota after Christmas. Alfred Anderson spent Sunday at his Belgrade home while Sophus Larson visited Saturday morning. Daisy Norman was absent Saturday and Leona Preble spent Sunday south of Willmar. Roy Christian joined the Commercial Course Tuesday and several others were at social events. Edna Kiland and Lillian Boyd visited on Saturday, Oscar Johnson visited the L. E. Thorpe home at Pennock over Sunday.

Mr and Mrs Olof Swanson of this village have bought Hotel Atwater from the Atwater Hotel Company. Purchase completed last Tuesday and the couple plan to take possession November 15. Swanson, former village marshal, is well known locally and the deal marks a new chapter for the property.

County fair push eyed for Kandiyohi backing

The plan urges forming a Kandiyohi county agricultural fair association with permanent grounds and buildings. It calls for backing from farmers bankers and merchants to educate improve stock and seed quality and attract youth through judging exhibits and events at a new county fair. A January meeting is proposed to organize.

High School Disbands Football Tone Amid Cold Cancelled Game

The High School football season ends early this year as the Granite Falls game from last Saturday was canceled due to cold weather. Basketball begins Tuesday night and organizers plan a High School Orchestra after a first meeting Tuesday afternoon. Madonna Carlin and Grace Peterson visited Kandigahi homes over Sunday. Rev McClary spoke to students Monday, and the chorus practiced from old song books on Tuesday.
