Two railroad wrecks disrupted Great Northern traffic. A broken wheel flange caused a yard wreck at Han sock and Stock, delaying a 1:30 pm passenger to after six. Eight freight cars loaded with chest derailed, five destroyed. A second wreck near Elk River involved a cattle train on a defective switch at forty mph. about fifty cattle killed or escaped, several workers narrowly escaped being trampled, track cleared by day’s end. Damages likely in the thousands.

Obituary for Mrs Christine Peterson Passes Away
Mrs Christine Peterson died at nine o clock yesterday morning at her son P L Peterson's home after pneumonia and subsequent weakness. Born in Vik Heleing land Sweden on November 24 1823 she married Lars Peterson in 1848 and emigrated to America in 1866 settling near Grass Lake Willmar. She leaves two sons and two daughters including P L Peterson and Mrs Norberg. Remains to be moved to Anoka and funeral planned there tomorrow.

Annie Larnon Dies at 64 in Fourth Ward Home
Annie Larnon, long an invalid cared for as a city dependent on Jessie street, died early Wednesday at 64. Dropsy caused death after weeks confined to her home. She had no known relatives locally. Funeral held yesterday at the Lutheran Free church with Rev. E. E. Gynild officiating. interment in Lutheran Free cemetery nearby.
