Willmar Red Cross Seeks 10000 Seals For Christmas Sale
The November meeting of the Willmar Red Cross Society in the Commercial club rooms approved ordering 10 000 Red Cross Seals for the Christmas sale. Dr J M Rains was named to lead the effort and 474 percent of sale proceeds will stay for local work. Clothing donated for fire victims will be sold to raise funds for the society. The Royal Neighbors hosted a calico ball at Carlson's hall with music by Nettie Marlow and a fine lunch. The Willmar Dramatic Club will present Woman Against Woman at the Opera House on Nov 22 to benefit St Luke's Men’s Club.

Obituary: Asbjorn Peterson Pioneer of Kandiyohi County
Asbjorn Peterson died suddenly of heart failure Tuesday evening at the home of his daughter Mrs Peter Bonde after voting in Kandiyohi County. Born June 3 1831 in Bakke Norway he immigrated to the United States and lived on a Bandiyohi County homestead two miles west of Willmar. A Christian and trusted neighbor he leaves two daughters nine grandchildren and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted local details forthcoming.
