Home Talent Springtime to Be Staged Two Evenings
The American Legion of the city presents the home talent musical comedy Springtime at Dreamland Theatre for two evenings, with a cast of local performers in a three act show. Director is Mr. Perkins of Chicago company. Cast includes Elvira Eastman Hattie Penrose Esther Peterson Genevieve McKinley and many others in Act 1 and Act 2 scenes set in May 1808 and 1888. Act 3 returns to Act 1 scene 1 with Priscilla Brewster and Doctor Jack Wainright among the principals.

Biographical notes on U S Senator Heathh Shipstead born in Burbank township in 1881. He and family lived on the old Shipstead homestead near Willmar. Henrik graduated New London High School, studied dentistry at Northwestern, practiced in Glenwood, served as mayor, then legislator, later moved to Minneapolis. A statement was issued yesterday ahead of the election.

Car Fire Totals Overland Vehicle Near High Bridge
James Matson of Svea owned an Overland car that burned to total loss last Saturday near the High Bridge east of the city. Driver William Olson with three passengers faced an unknown cause as sparks flew from beneath the vehicle. bystanders alerted Olson and they halted, but flames quickly consumed the car. The group included Hazel Herrmeyer and Mrs J C Racobs. An emblem installation at the Masonic Temple is noted separately.

Car Overturns Injuring Two Grove City Men
Randolph Okerman and Clifford Moreredt of Grove City were injured when their car overturned between Grove City and Atwater while en route to a Willmar Litchfield game. Okerman broke a collarbone. Wreck at Litchfield disrupts train service
Six freight cars derailed between Grove City and Litchfield when an arch beam on a freight car broke and fouled the track. Several grain cars left the rails as wrecking crews, including Jereta Wilmer, cleared the debris. Train No. 21 arriving at 9 did not reach its destination until nearly noon.
