Willmar Associated Schools launch an agricultural course for farm boys and girls and town youth under the Putnam Act. The program aims to teach plant and animal production, home building, and industrial skills to broaden citizenship. Rural meetings led by Supt. Foster promote the course and outline a Kandiyohi County plan with dates for district gatherings through November.

After a long illness John Paulson and Mary Paulson lose wife and mother Mary to a complication of pneumonia and erysipelas. Daughter Myrtle Beatrice dies fifteen hours later, while sons Arthur and Reuben remain ill. Typhoid traced to a well. Mary Akeson, born in Sweden, came to Kandiyohi in 1867, married John Paulson in 1890, with five children. Funeral held at John Nelson's residence with Rev. G Peterson officiating. Community offers sympathy.

The Eleanora Olson Concert Trio performed at Bynod church last Friday evening and was a decided success. Eleanora Olson, the mezzo soprano, impressed with a deep powerful voice and charming presence. Ethel Olson, the impersonator, entertained with humor and skill, while Alice R. Walden on piano demonstrated high artistry and refined taste. The Conover piano belonged to the Nelson Music Company.

The Red Cross campaign reports two months completed with Mrs. C. B. Carlson and Mrs. T. J. Larson each turning in fifty cents per month per week per day per hour. Carlson’s four weeks total five dollars and sixteen cents per week, twenty-one dollars ten cents per month. Larson’s same monthly total of twenty-one dollars ten cents. Willmar Park Assembly Hears Park and Fair Grounds Plans
At an adjourned stockholders meeting a committee led by W F Gratz G W Tyler and E C Wellin was appointed to study creating an athletic park and race track on land adjoining Willmar Assembly Park. They discussed financing through expanded public use revenue, possibly leasing grounds for events, and merging with the Street Fair. A 30 day option remains, with a November 20 meeting to review committee findings and proposed changes to the articles of incorporation.
