Seminary Class Sermon at Vinje Church
The Willmar Seminary graduation class heard Rev. J. N. Andersen deliver a sermon on building life like a house on rock or sand. He warned that education for wealth or pleasure is sand, while faith in Christ builds on the rock. Graduates sat in front pews as they processed to organ music and a young ladies chorus performed two selections.

Kandiyohi County residents across Atwater Willmar and surrounding townships contributed to the Red Cross War Fund. Investment of Life sermon at Willmar High School
The May 26 Baccalaureate sermon at Auditorium Park by Rev. W Bryn Jones urged youth to invest life with purpose and service. He compared life to a single investment with eternal stakes, citing patriotism and Christian sacrifice. The service drew about 900 attendees and featured solos, an anthem, and multiple hymns.
