After graduation exercises at Gustavus Adolphus College on May 24 the Schumann Ladies Chorus embarks on a five day Minnesota tour. They perform The Death of the Joan of Arc at Bethel Lutheran church and visit Cassel Murdock New London Willmar and Minneapolis Messiah Church. Stolen Car Recovered In Midcountry Swing
Wm F Hose of Mayer Carver County reported his car stolen weeks ago. Sheriff Sunde of Olivia traced Ed Alexander to a Winfield farm and brought him back with a recovered vehicle. Alexander was jailed in Olivia and later moved to Chaska as the case proceeded.

Moonshine raid nets liquor cache in Meeker County
Chief Ole Westgaard arrested two intoxicated men who drove an automobile into Meeker County town. A raid at a Section 29 Acton location yielded about 40 gallons of mash, 36 empty jugs, two kegs and a bottle of liquor. Officers seized the contraband and at least one suspect resisted, aiding a countywide effort by sheriffs to combat illicit liquor.

National Guard Co H Beats Trainmen In Six Inning Game
In a Monday 6 30 p m game at the ball park the National Guard Co H team defeated the Trainmen 11 to 3 over six innings. Down Town and High School played a tied seven inning match that extended one extra frame with Down Town scoring while the school team failed to tally. The pair of Commercial League contests drew a large crowd and were timed in about an hour and ten minutes. Next Thursday the Wildcats face North End in a planned seven inning matchup.
