Granville Abbott Civil War Veteran Dies at 81 in Spicer
Granville Abbott of Spicer died at his home last Thursday after a several month illness at age 81 years 8 months and 19 days. Born in Rumford Maine August 29 1834 he served in the 31st Indiana Vol regiment for three years and was mustered as a corporal. He moved to Harrison then Spicer in 1904 and belonged to Col Hey Post 125 G A R Willmar. Funeral held from his Spicer home with Rev C B Latimer officiating.
