Erick P. Glad Dies After Illness in Minneapolis
Erick P. Glad aged 63 died in Minneapolis last Friday after a four week bed illness. A resident of Willmar for fifteen years he was a blacksmith apprentice in Sweden and later worked in building trades including grain elevators. He was born March 23 1854 in Jarf la Gifleborg Sweden and married Christine Engstrom October 20 1877 at Norrange Arbro parish. The family came to America in 1892 settling in Willmar May 23 twenty five years ago. He was father to Er ick Glad Jr and Mrs H C Johnson.

Funeral of Swedish-born man held in Willmar
The deceased, who resided in Minneapolis, is survived by his life companion and six children including Christine Johnson and Eric A. Glad of Willmar, Mary Mia, J. C. Larson and Dr. William P. Glad of Minneapolis, Edith Rydygaard of Moose Jaw, and Dani Harold Glad of Kennecott Alaska. A brother and sister remain in Sweden. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2:30 PM at the Swedish Baptist church in Willmar with Rev. Paul Hallin officiating. Duets by Missat Agnes and Martha Parson, flowers from relatives, and a wreath from the Baptist congregation were noted. Interment followed at Fairview.

Willmar Mourns Miss Ella Gould Teacher Dies in Minneapolis
Miss Ella Gould a longtime Willmar public school teacher died in Minneapolis after illness from pluro-pneumonia. Born in Canada on March 1, 1875, she lived in Willmar since childhood and taught sixth grade at the Central Building. She leaves three sisters and a circle of friends. The body will be brought home and funeral plans were not yet set. Separately, the Willmar Co-operative Mercantile Co. purchased their home block from Andrew Larson and plans extensive improvements, starting with enlarging the grocery department. the deal was about $20,000.

Early Friday morning the J. E. Maloney confectionery store was burglarized with about 16 dollars in merchandise stolen. Missing items include a small clock cigarettes candy and 2 dollars in pennies. Entry was through the back door with torn screens and a cut door panel as the hint left a laundry mark from Fargo.
