Car Repairers Hit by Falling Car Door

Xel Hansen and Ole Sletten of the Great Northern repair track force were injured when a car door detached from a broken fastening and fell on their legs. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. no bones were broken. Farmer Lad Drawn Into Manure Spreader

Little Axel Thorson six years old son of Mr and Mrs Anton Thorson on his father's farm east of Willmar was severely hurt when the sleeve of his coat was caught in a manure spreader as his father started the machine. He was rushed to Willmar Hospital with cuts to the head shoulder and arm. Doctors feared amputation but he is recovering.

Memorial Day Observed in Willmar Parade and Program

Memorial Day will be observed in Willmar on Monday May 31 with a morning graveside dedication by service organizations and a two o'clock parade. Participants include the Willmar Band Col Hey Post GA R Col Roosevelt Camp US War Veterans Fire and Drum Corps and World War veterans. The parade route runs through Becker Ave Fourth St Litchfield Ave Pacific Ave Sixth St Fifth St to the courthouse where the band plays and Attorney R W Stanford gives an address. Knights Templars Parade in Willmar Draws 140 Visitors

Knights Templars convocation in Willmar Saturday featured a special St. Paul train bringing 140 Knights. Parade to Masonic Temple with Willmar Band, 50 Willmar lodge members, 40 Litchfield, 12 Morris. Banquet hosted by local ladies. Three candidates initiated: H. Diffendorf, H. Porter, F. Sather. James E Cooper a Willmar barber for three years passed away suddenly last Thursday from acute Brights disease. Fatal Accident Befalls Boy in Minnesota Home

A nine year old boy Arnold Stanley Juden Edwards died at his parents home on Litchfield Avenue after a pocket knife blade pierced his left side while he walked to cut a whistle from willow branches. He collapsed at home and died from internal bleeding linked to a heart condition. Born October 31, 1910 in Willmar, he attended Central School. Eighty five children were examined today at the nutritional clinic under Kandiyohi Public Health Association. Dr Batch elder and County Nurse Miss Imadahl assisted. Juniors Banquet At Willmar High A Fine Affair

The Willmar High School Senior and Junior banquet attracted about a hundred attendees at the Masonic Temple. A mock wedding opened the event, followed by a five course dinner with toastmaster Supt. Brobaugh introducing Junior and Senior class presidents Orlean Christian and Everett McDonald for remarks. Fourteen freshmen served as waiters, then juniors organized games until eleven. Shipstead and Townley Coming to Willmar Rally

A large Willmar crowd is expected next Saturday for a Non-Partisan League rally to influence Minnesota Republican primaries.
