City studies storm water in sewer system
The city council investigated sewer troubles in First ward and at Lafayette school finding fourteen surface water catch basins connected to sanitary sewers. Heavy rain or snowmelt flood the system, causing basements to flood. A storm sewer plan is proposed to relieve capacity and allow future extensions.
