500 Trees Planted in Sibley Park
Five hundred young black walnut trees were planted in Sibley State Park on the north shore of Lake Andrew on Tuesday afternoon, May 9. Organizers for the National Farmers Nonpartisan League report strong re enrollment for two years in Kent County Minnesota. In Atwater area a man enrolled sixty two members in five days. Community picnic closes school term near Lake Wagonga
District 39 and 68 teachers organized a Friday afternoon community picnic at J Bjornberg home on the lake shore. George Spindler a new city construction foreman for John C. McKusick died suddenly of heart failure at age 68. Born in Pennsylvania, he had been in Grand Rapids recently. his wife and daughter Mrs. John C. McKusick survive. His body to be shipped home for burial.
