Ex Soldier Boy Dies After Train Ride to Willmar Hospital

Alfeed Tresvold a 29 year old ex service man from Granite Falls died at Willmar Hospital after a Fargo to Willmar train trip suffering convulsions. He carried a government training letter for Mandy-Lewis Motor Co seeking auto mechanic training and it noted epilepsy. Doctors suspected hypodermic injections en route and the case is being investigated by A A Blomquist and the Granite Falls American Legion.

Returned To Cloquet Mrs Wigging And Son Visit Ends

Mrs G H Wigging and her son John returned to Cloquet on Tuesday after a two week visit with Mrs Wigging's mother Mrs Carrie Qdell and other relatives. Mrs Wigging works as an instructor in forestry at the Minnesota Agricultural School during winter. James J Kelley employed at J J Blanker tailor shop in town met a serious accident Sunday when his car ran off a embankment near Norway Lake. He suffered several bruises and chest injury but is hoped to recover quickly.

Funeral Attendees Attend Mrs Jones Funeral

Mrs KR Brogren and ATTEND FUNERAL MY were in attendance at the funeral of the late Mrs Irena Jones in Minneapolis on Tuesday. Mrs Jones was killed Sunday in Minneapolis in an avcident. She is a distant relative of the Brogrens. George Brogren, visiting in the cities, also attended.

Lutheran pastor delivers sermons amid funeral in Twin Valley

Rev. Arthur Tolo of the Luther Seminary in St. Paul arrived Saturday and preached at Synod Lutheran Church on Sunday while the focal pastor attended his mother’s funeral in Twin Valley.

Tour of Minneapolis business men to travel 800 miles

J B. Tatum of the Minneapolis Civic and Commerce Association announced a six day tour by over one hundred business and professional men. The trip starts in Minneapolis, runs west into North Dakota, returns with a stop at Willmar on Monday May 26 for an overnight, and includes free entertainment such as outdoor concerts by the Ford Artillery band. The itinerary covers 800 miles with 28 town stops, marking the tenth annual tour.

Ally G Glick of Duluth, a lawyer and former English professor, will deliver the 1922 commencement address for Supt. Geo. O. Brohaugh. His subject will be What Am I, a lecture he has given at commencements, lyceums, and chautauquas for five years, with wartime demand noted. The event notes his Russia birthplace and a distinguished public career. County Commissioners Hear Road Week Hearings Set

The Board of County Commissioners met in the courthouse chambers this afternoon with hearings on county road numbers 26 and 27 at 2 and 3 PM. Bids for weed inspector positions will be opened after the hearings, with up to two inspectors to be appointed. The mass meeting outcome scheduled for Thursday at 10 AM will be awaited.

Pretty wedding at Czar Canada on Thursday

A happy marriage occurred last Thursday April 26 at St Luth church in Czar Canada. Miss Mildred Lindgren daughter of Roy and Mrs O Lindgren wed Mr Roy Forsberg son of John Torsberg of this city. The bride wore pearl grey satin with orange blossom trim and carried rose bouquet. Bridesmaid Miss Edit Dahl in white crepe de chine. Groom’s attendant Rudolph Lindgren brother of the bride. Rev O Lindgren officiated. The wedding march by Mrs O Grue. Reception at the bride’s home with five course dinner. Guests included Walter Beekman from Battleview Alberta and Mrs Iver Anerson and Howard Youngren from Canwood Sask. Newlyweds left for Hatlisty and will be at home after May 1 at Ovar.

Mass Meeting on Weed Law at Willmar Courthouse

A public meeting will be held at the Willmar courthouse at 10 a m on Thursday May 4 1922 to discuss the weed law passed by the last legislature. County commissioners will be in session. Infant dies as convulsions claim Thompson infant

The infant Harvey LeRoy Thompson, born April 10, 1922, died at his parents home Tuesday at 9 40 pm from convulsions. Funeral is set for Thursday at 2 30 pm with Rev. Luther Benson officiating. He leaves his parents and one sister. A school program in district No 25 Thursday at 8 pm will feature refreshments afterward. Alma Bratberg, teacher. The Tribune apologizes for advertising the Flying Squadron, a Prohibition group that came to Willmar to speak on law enforcement and justice but mainly backed Congressman A. J. Volstead's reelection. Will Organize a Commercial's League

A mass meeting for all sport enthusiasts baseball fans and players will be held Monday at 7 30 in the County House courtroom to discuss plans for a Commercial League. Brother Passes Walter Sanderson Fatally Injured in Toronto

Walter J. Sanderson, about 65, died in an accident in Toronto, Canada, last Thursday. He is survived by his wife, one child, his brother James Sanderson of Willmar, and sisters Mrs. C. S. Pierce of Fort Dodge Iowa, Mrs. S. M. Sivertson of Cragston, and Mrs. Adam Tait of Diamond Lake. Burial likely in Toronto. Also noted: T. O. Menue of Norway Lake was fined $26.10 for driving intoxicated, license revoked for three months. Mrs. J. H. Foster of Hopkins visited. Mary Harmil died at the state asylum. remains shipped to Platteville Wisconsin.

Modern Dairy opens with new plant and visitors day

The Modern Dairy owned by A. B. Braithwaite opens its fully modern milk and cream operation in the city on Saturday May 6. Visitors day on May 7 invites public to inspect the remodeled plant at Litchfield Avenue and Sixth Street. The building houses a two-room front office and retail store, a 16 by 10 by 11 feet refrigerator, five ton ice house, clarifying and large pasteurizing machines, bottling line, and electric operation. Butter cheese department and large churn noted. Drivers include C. L. Munson and Cheater Olson. Peter Sorenson of Red Wing hired as butter tester.

Wilcex Club entertains with talks and radio demonstrations

Wilcex Club of Bell Telephone Company hosted a party in the Tribune Building traffic rooms on April 27 with members and guests from St. Cloud. Harry Greenwood spoke on coasporation, and Bates explained local radio apparatus. Barbara Williams reviewed President Harding’s Armistice Day talk via telephone amplifier. Five department members performed stunts, then refreshments served. Mrs Larson and Mrs Talliting left for Battle Creek where Mrs Larson will enter a sanatorium.

District 54 Will Celebrate Fifty Year Picnic
