Excavation by Machinery on City Water Mains Project

The steam crane machine from Madger Construction undertakes extensive water main extensions in the city. Foreman F Miller of Marav, with G We Seliruth as digger owner, and workers Ivank Bavon and Joe Mal sor from Fargo, will lay new mains valued over 1000 dollars. Streets affected include Mifth and Fourth streets, Seed Street, Third Street, Beeker Avenue, Fourth Street, and Lensan Avenue, with work aimed at improving outskirts. A trip east is planned for Lindvall, a machinist at the G. N. Roundhouse, to visit Hall Claire Wis and travel through Minnesota central lines en route to various cities.

New Machinery Installed At Willmar Creamery

Willmar creamery owners Holt and Curran remodeled the plant making it one of the area’s best. A cement floor and new equipment including five pasteurizing vats, a 1000 pound capacity starter, ice cream freezer for 250 gallons daily, and ice crusher. Swedish Descendants Fraternize Social Evening

The Swedish Literary Society hosted a pleasant social gathering Friday night. The program featured orchestra music directed by C. L. Collin, piano numbers by Harold Swenson Beat rice Eckwalt and Pearl Brown readings by Carl Wallin N. S. Swenson and W. E. Lawson, with strong attendance.

Little Helpers Plan May Meeting at 7:45 PM

The Little Helpers or the Swedish Baptist church will hold their regular monthly meeting next Friday evening May 5 at 7 45 o clock. A good program will be rendered and refreshments will be served by Mrs Olaf Ahlstrom and Mrs E A Peterson. A cordial invitation is extended to all. Bird House Contest Concludes With Wiggins First Prize

The third annual bird house contest by W. M. Chase and Company ended May 1 with Lawrence Wiggins winning first prize. Prizes included 1.00 for first, 0.75 for second to Herbert Nelson, and smaller awards to Maynard Linn and others. Judges were Miss Amy Hanscom, Dr. H. F. Porter, and H. B. Chase.

Six Churches Plan North Dakota Jubil ee

Six Norwegian Lutheran congregations will join in a semi centennial jubilee at Norway Lake in July with East and West U S churches and Synod groups.
