Public park plans advance in city improvements
Involving Commercial Club and Woman's Improvement League, plans to convert the Great Northern right of way between Third and Fourth Streets into a public park proceed with an engineer's review and county cooperation. Project includes drives, waterworks, and turfing funded by league and railway company. The county may also modernize court house grounds with beautification led by the league after preliminary county work, aligned with the upcoming Carnegie library site opposite the court house. The next committee report is set for April 13.

A Willmar letter reports Solomon R. Foot born 1823 in Ohio died in San Pedro California. He joined early Minnesota settlers after 1857, endured blizzards and the 1862 Indian outbreak, was wounded near Foot Lake, served in the Civil War, and lived in Melrose Minot North Carolina and California. Four children survived his first wife. an autobiographical sketch will appear in Kandiyohi county history.

Wanted man Larson flees after alleged thefts and hotel debts
A warrant was issued for Larson on charges from his roommate Willie Sander en. He fled to Minneapolis after a missing gun and a claimed pawned weapon. Sheriff Lundquist pursued him then found he had left town. Larson formerly stayed at the Glarum hotel and at one time was accused of stealing a greatcoat from R Knudson of the Marlow House.
