Swedish Military Band Coming to Willmar
The Royal Crown Prince Hussar Regiment Band of Sweden will visit Willmar for a concert on Friday April 30. A local guarantee plan secured the visit, with a Willmar Red Wing and locals backing the engagement. The band of 25 trained musicians will be led by Lt John Ekblad and will be a historic musical event for Willmar drawing visitors from nearby towns.

Missionary Elema Leaves Willmar After Controversy
Elema and followers depart Willmar after nine weeks of meetings in the Fixen building on Third Street. The group faced clashes with city authorities, and Elema condemned Norwegians while criticizing other groups. Departure was prompted by a Tuesday confrontation with officials. The Aurora Y P S meets Crow River church on March 28. The Ladies Aid gathers April 7.

The Svea Co operative Mercantile company was formed at Svea with capital of 25 dollars. Helge Nelson elected president, Martin Swenson vice president, James Mattson secretary, John E Johnson treasurer, with Joseph Feifarek on the board. The group plans a store of its own or to buy Nelson Bros. of Svea and will affiliate with the Minnesota Right Relationship League.
