Death of Mrs Thorson age 73 in city area
Mrs Thorson died last Monday forenoon at her home four miles east of the city at age 73 from Bright's disease. She had been ill for some time and bedbound for 10 days. Funeral held today with Rev Gynild and Rev Anderson presiding at 1:30 and 2:00 at the Lutheran Free church. interment in Synod church cemetery. Also notes a Woman's Institute meeting March 25 and a lengthy program in progress, then mentions a baby girl born to Mr and Mrs John Olson on First Street last Thursday and greetings from friends.

Col William Jennings Bryan spoke to a Willmar audience on The Value of an Ideal after arriving by afternoon train from the cities. He spoke to hundreds at the opera house, at the Commercial Club afterward, and planned another lecture in New Ulm. Several delegations sought dates, and a Windom Institute group requested a talk. The event drew attendees from nearby towns and featured introductions by W. E. Lawson. The lecture ran about ninety minutes and left attendees eager for more appearances by Bryan on the speaking circuit.
