A large volunteer effort led by Mr Ralph Conrad built the Aldrich Campaign Tabernacle, 120 by 70 feet, with seating for 1300, a speaker’s platform, chorus circle, and ample warming with five stoves and ventilation. Churches donated meals, and O H Ekdahl provided housing for evangelistic guests ahead of the March 27 opening.
Delayed election returns list Atwater village officials with president trustees and clerks. Pennock village names H G Floren for president with three trustees and treasurer. Draft records shipped to State Capitol. F H Hester of the State draft board reports Kandiyohi County records in first class shape and departs for Marshall.
Kandiyohi County District Court sits this week with Judge Quale presiding. Grand jury deliberations finished, indictments include Ed Thibodeau for grand larceny in the fourth degree. Petit jury and multiple ditch cases listed with attorneys Fosnes and Freeman representing appellants and respondents.
The Willmar City Council weighs an ordinance to rename five downtown avenues after U S presidents. The Tribune editor opposes the plan, arguing old local names link to history, involve public expense, and cause confusion. Proponents urge honoring leaders with a local achievement like Foot Lake improvements.
The March 4 death of Private Simon Stob at Camp Grant is recalled with hisChicago birth on December 16, 1889 and youth in Roseland township. City caucus set for Engine House on 7 Avenue at eight. Otoa enters race for city clerk spurring a contest. Nilsen just returned from Minneapolis after Augsburg Seminary Board meeting. A Bible School is established there.
Willmar Minn March 18 1919 County relief campaign report by Miss Lillie Noren shows Kandiyah county exceeded its 35700 goal by 37141 with total expenses 2709 for printing postage and phone charges. Pamphlet praises precinct chairmen farmers and townspeople and notes late reports from two precincts. F H Oehler county director commends newspapers and local churches for support.

A string of residents and visitors are reported traveling to and from Mankato, Willmar, Atwater, New London, and Minneapolis. Notables include Oscar Norrell, Arthur A Swanson, Grace Dahl, and M. A. Erickson among many others, with hospital, parade and family event mentions scattered through the week.
Rex J. Moon of Chicago joins the Aldrich campaigns as musical director with seven years directing evangelistic choirs. He has conducted eight Twin Cities choruses, led 600 voices in St. Paul, and now Willmar plans a 200 to 400 voice chorus under his leadership. The first big rehearsal is set for Friday night March 28 at the Tabernacle.
Dr and Mrs B J Branton entertained Willmar Hospital nurses at their 2nd Street East home with a four course dinner for eleven. Decor featured St Patrick's colors and cut flowers. Later the group attended a theatre party at the Majestic.
Harry Olson, a heaterman for refrigerator cars on the Great Northern, badly smashed the thumb of his right hand in a yard incident.
