Death of Hilmer Gustrud in Spicer Leaves Family Grief
Hilmer Gustrud aged 19 of Spicer died after a nine day pneumonia. He was born April 1 1888 and had worked in William Nelson's blacksmith shop. Funeral services were held at his home and Long Lake church with Rev J Halvorson speaking. He is survived by his mother Sophia Gustrud two sisters two brothers and his father O H Gustrud who died five years earlier. The community mourns a hardworking youth whose loss deeply affects family and friends.
