Two Cabooses Lost in Collison West of Clontarf
Two freight trains collided end to end a mile west of Clontarf causing two cabooses to be crushed and two gondolas to overturn. No one aboard the cabooses was harmed. Wrecking crews from Willmar cleaned debris, marking this the third Willmar Division wreck in two weeks. An investigation to fix responsibility followed the incident amid near-tragic warnings. Also noted is a Baptist Young People meeting at the church basement Friday led by Hope Group with a varied program.

No Closing of Schools Despite Low Attendance
The city schools will not be ordered closed for a week due to decreased attendance and colds among children. The current absentee list is not large enough to justify a shutdown, and such action would not materially improve conditions.
