Victor E Holm of New London visited Willmar between trains last Friday. Miss Anna Schollin was the ce of friends in the cities from Sunday until Tuesday evening. Miss Mary Johnson went to her home at New London Friday and Mrs. L Gjems has been home since Friday from Minneapolis where she visited her daughter Mrs Lambrecht for a week. Judge and Mrs C L Brown and daughter Margaret of Minneapolis spent the weekend with Mrs John H Brown and other Willmar relatives.

Willmar High Trims White Flyers 38 to 12 in Fast Game

Willmar High School defeated the White Flyers of Minneapolis 38 to 12 in a brisk contest on their local floor. Hornbeck led the hosts with most points while Greaves starred for the visitors as Ives limited the High School attack in the final period. Seminary High School series opens next. Spoon Social at Prairie View School invites prizes for attendees bringing spoons.

Sewer Plans Discussed At Bonde Hall Meeting

A large crowd attended a mass meeting at Bonde Hall to discuss sewer plans led by Prof. Frederic Bass and City Engineer Rowat. The plan calls for two purification plants with settling tanks filters and pumping stations at each site to lift sewage into tanks. Estimated cost is 30000 dollars and a special election will be held after the annual election.

Willmar Business Club debates reciprocity with Canada

Willmar Commercial Club held a well attended session discussing reciprocity with Canada with plans to continue the debate at the next meeting. A resolution supporting introducing Scandinavian languages as an elective in Willmar Schools passed with no dissent. The club also noted likely state sanatorium placement for tuberculous patients if a district wide law passes. J J Ekander joined. two resignations were accepted. The Willmar Street Fair Association annual meeting elected officers and reformed government. officers will meet March 20 to set secretary and 1911 fair dates. Halvor H Flann, father of John G Flann, died aged nearly 88. funeral held Feb 26. Several salesmen at J C Dales will move to new positions after March 15.

Kandiyohi County State Fair Exhibit Plans Progress

John Ahlstrom of Spicer is named superintendent of Kandiyohi County’s exhibit for the upcoming State Fair. He calls for full citizen cooperation to secure space and create a standout display featuring a miniature farm that attracted fairgoers at previous street fairs. The exhibit will ship from Willmar to the fairgrounds, with plans to add new attractions and draw constant crowd attention.
