Tragic gas stove accident claims Ruth Gilbertson
Five year old Ruth Margaret Gilbertson died after her clothes ignited when near a gasoline stove lighting a window view. She burned severely, died at seven pm with her mother present. Funeral held at 3 pm from Becker Avenue home with floral tributes and pallbearers. born March 3, 1897, she would have celebrated a fifth birthday last Sunday.

International Harvester to Build Willmar Warehouse
The International Harvester Company will erect a 40 by 64 foot warehouse at Willmar with 75 feet of rail frontage west of the Minnesota Western elevator. Goods will be shipped in carload lots to Willmar and then to nearby points. H. KE. Shouers, head of the Deering division here, arranged a rail lease, and P. M. Peterson will oversee the warehouse. Previously distributing from Granite Falls showed Willmar’s favorable location for such enterprise.

The Senior class play Thompson of the U will be given Friday evening at the Willmar Opera House. The next game will be played at Granite Falls Saturday evening between Granite Falls and Willmar high school teams. The first Seminary High School game was played last Friday evening in the high school gym, ending nine to twenty five. Alfred Erickson enjoys a two week vacation from the Sash and Door factory, visiting relatives in Montana.
