A Willmar Farmers Institute drew large crowds with favorable weather and speeches by seasoned agriculturalists. Sessions covered crop rotation, clover nitrogen fixation, dairy breeding, silage, pig health, fruit trees, and farm economics, followed by a grand dinner hosted by local professionals and a spectacle of community hospitality.
Roseland reports a birthday surprise for Amanda Williamson and social mingling with neighbors. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Van Buren of Holland visited, planning to join a veterinary practice in Renville. The Brinkbohs helped dehorn cattle nearby. Mrs. L. Damhoff is recovering from illness. Mrs. Knott’s auction drew few bidders but a purse of 36 dollars was given. she plans to move to Kenmare. GREEN LAKE March 4 The temperance lecture by Prof Hilleboe at Spicer has been moved from Saturday March 9 to Thursday evening March 7 at 8 o clock in Mardin's hall. Musicians are being arranged. A valuable team belonging to contractor Pfifer drowned in Green Lake last Tuesday while scraping off ice. Hannah Peterson travels from west of New London to attend the lecture. Mr Swanson of Harrison Union Telephone Company inspected local exchanges near Willmar. Mr Mackay to speak at Presbyterian church next Sunday with sessions and services announced. Mrs Hoverly and son Nick ill, Hilmer Gustrud ill with pneumonia. Two grip cases reported from Ole Hoverly's home. A church social planned for Friday March 8 at 7:30 pm. Program to include scripture reading, prayer, and benediction. Coffee and cake to be served for 5 cents. Next Sunday Mr Mackey to speak at 10:30 am service, 2 pm men’s meeting, and 7:30 pm evening service. Recent talks by Fred W. Davis of Minneapolis noted. Grammar and primary school notes list attendance figures and pupil names.

Fifteen youths enjoyed Friday evening in Spicer with Mrs. Anderson acting as deputy agent. Janette Shipstead hosted a birthday party for friends. Christ Skeie returned from North Dakota with a Ward county claim and plans to move next fall. B S Winblad sold his barber shop to William Langstrom. Winblad and wife plan to move to Kingston. Great Northern surveyed a 40 acre site for a gravel pit near H J Neer. samples sent to GN headquarters for approval. Aug Jordin rented Chas Thors farm for 1907. Village election set for March 12. Maggie Akren back in town. Otto Bjork trapping trip north near Aren Lake. Prices for a present sale expected around 85 apiece. George Johnson, Leonard Larson, and Torkel of Burbank travelled to Willmar on legal business.
Mamre Telephone Co held its annual meeting at O. O. Bergstrom’s home on Wednesday. New officers elected for the coming year include A. Sandberg as president Otto Holmgren as treasurer Jonas Dickson Chas Wavena, and Axel Butler as trustees. Lineman Georg Lofgren and Willie Erickson named as residents. Various local movements and visits noted including Dahlstrom renting to Alfred Johnson and plans for Willmar work. Weekly church service schedule announced with Rev. P Ohleen leading services at Lundby and Frank Lake locations.
At Prinsburg on March 4 Abe Note baum and Peter Krage departed for Washington. The town counts a lively week with Baptismal services at the C C church, Mire Wauw selling, and a town caucus planned for March 9 to choose township officers before the March 13 meet.

A Lenten sermon was delivered at Hag Peterson schoolhouse. Forsberg Bros of Sake Elizabeth plan a meat market in Foley under that name.
