Day Letter Service Inaugurated By Western Union

Manager Walter De La Hunt announces a new Day Letter telegraph service by Western Union. It prices fifty words or less at one and a half times Night Letter, plus ten word increments at one fifth the initial rate. Day Letters require plain English code and may be filed anytime for transmission during business hours. The service promises economy and speed for business, with priority given to full-rate telegrams.

Willmar to Discuss Public Sewer Question Next Week

Fredric Ross of the State Board of Health will meet Willmar officials on Monday to discuss the proposed sewer system. A council session is planned for the afternoon and a public meeting at Bonde Hall at 8 pm. Citizens are urged to attend to learn from state authorities before the forthcoming vote. Sophies Win Decisive Game and Upcoming Events

The Sophomores defeated the Seniors 20 to 1 in the final round of the High School Tournament after earlier beating the Freshmen, while the Sophomores had won over Willmar 31 to 12 last Friday. Dana Taylor missed games due to illness and Willmar had a vacation on Washington's Birthday. Upcoming events include a Friday March 3 literary program with multiple recitations and orations by Sofia Tallakson Dora Hanson Anna Rasmussen George Hansen and others.

Debating League Drift at Willmar High School Event

The Osseo Literary society hosted a well attended reception at Seminary hall on Wednesday evening. The event featured recitations and essays by Ellen Larsen Lydia Johnson Frances Ledell Ingeborg Nel and Dean Vincent David Nyquist. The debate urged entering the State Debating League next year with affirmative Myrtle Miller Marion Carlson and negative Edna Kiland Agnes Dalen. Music was provided by a piano trio and national color decorations enhanced the scene.

Free Church Synod Meeting Planned in Willmar

New General Hospital Planned in Johnson Block

Miss Anna Schollin, a graduate nurse from St Marys Hospital Minneapolis, will open a general hospital upstairs in the Johnson Block. Rooms are being fixed up and a first class operating room with latest improvements will be available. The facility will serve physicians from Willmar and surrounding territory.
