Beautiful Park Dedication at Sibley Park Ceremony

An oak grove at Mount Ton foot and a natural amphitheater hosted the official dedication of Sibley State Park on a Saturday in Kandiyohi County. About nine thousand people attended the dedication with speakers including Commissioner Carlos Vorsil and locals at a reunion of the Old Settlers Association. The event featured bands, remarks by Senator Gandrud, and a formal address by Carlos Avery on preserving the park as a public, nature-focused trust.

Willmar District Young People's Convention Honored

The Willmar District Young People's Society of the Lutheran Free Church held a large three day convention, drawing hundreds of delegates despite poor roads and weather. Rev. Claus Morgan spoke, pastors attended, and a closing resolution thanked Willmar's congregation for hospitality and use of the church and Park Auditorium. An additional notice announces the Kandiyohi County Independent School District No. 47 annual meeting on July 17 1920 to elect two board members and transact business.

Kandiyohi county to graduate largest class ever

Friday at Park Auditorium Kandiyohi county common schools will award diplomas to a class of 161 students. The program includes musical selections by local groups and a church choir, followed by refreshments. The Gardena program lists many students by district and names dozens of attendees. A Sunday School picnic and social events at nearby lakeshore locations are also noted.

Oberg Named Successor in Willmar Legal Practice

Charles A. Oberg chosen by Atty. Geo H. Otterness to take over his Willmar law practice after years in St. Paul. Oberg to arrive in July to establish residence.
