Indian Scholars Journey Through Willmar on Way Home
Forty seven Chippewas and children from Pipestone industrial schools traveled through Willmar en route to White Earth Turtle Mountain reserves. They spoke many languages and planned vacation activities, with many not returning next year due to a new rule restricting travel from reservations to those under 14. Mrs Hackett and relatives, plus Miss Carruthers, undertaken a six week trip to Spokane Seattle and Missoula. Miss Cora Johnson returned to Minneapolis after visiting and planning to reside there. she is sister to Mrs Hedin.

Chautauqua Opens Saturday at Green Lake Festivities Begin
The third season of the Green Lake Chautauqua opens next Saturday with no admission charged for afternoon and evening programs at the pavilion. A Independence Day celebration includes two ball games at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., music by the Ladies' Symphony Orchestra and Spicer Band, and a grand fireworks display. The rest of the schedule features Dr. Batten lectures, various musical programs, readings, and notable speakers such as Gov. John A. Johnson and Ex-Gov. Joseph Folk, with recreation and lake activities available throughout the event.

Deserted Wife Takes Own Life in Philadelphia
Tuesday of last week Mrs. Henson, wife of Paul Benson of Minneapolis, killed herself in Philadelphia after learning her husband had left her. In a letter she said she could not live without him. Paul Benson, a clerk at G. O. Sand Clothing Store last summer, is a nephew of Mr. Sand.
