Last Week’s Cooking School a Success
A History of local clubs notes a cooking class by Miss MacDonald at the synod church, with good attendance and donations totaling $98.50 from tickets. Proceeds of $71.48 were given to the Willmar Red Grass society for tuberculosis relief. Also covered are birthday honors for Mrs. E. B. Porter, Miss Flossie Smith’s bridal month, a slipper guessing game, and Mrs. Ole Lundquist hosting Miss Johnson. The Frost baby William Wilcox Frost was christened at St. Luke’s church.

John Warwell Sr. fell from a platform at the G N He houses on Monday and sustained a broken hip. He was admitted to Willmar hospital where doctors report him seriously injured but as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. Dr Harold Frost is attending and says the patient is as comfortable as can be expected.

Home from Colorado on a Visit
Albert N. Gilbertson, recent instructor at the state university of Colorado Boulder, arrived in Willmar for a few weeks stay at his home. He praised Colorado scenery and people, plans to depart mid next month for Europe by the Canadian route via Montreal and Quebec, with a brief stop in England before visiting relatives in Christiania, his ancestral home.
