New Sibley State Park Dedication Planned This June

Eminent Methodists Will Address Epworth League Meet

Printing Paper Crisis Forces Willmar Tribune Rates Rise

The Willmar Tribune warns patrons that paper costs have surged to 103.69 for the current issue and prices will climb. First Lady Air Passenger Over Willmar In Giant Plane

Miss Tda Halvorson becomes Willmar’s first lady to ride an aeroplane, with Harlan Preble aboard this afternoon reaching 4500 feet before the craft vanished into a cloud. The Paulson machine plans to visit Alexandria tomorrow then Atwater Sunday, likely returning to Willmar later. the Halvorson family hosts the owner and driver, once neighbors in Iowa. Aeroplane Does Big Business at Willmar

G. H. Southwick of Britt Iowa and Sr H Paulson owner en route to Fargo landed at Willmar last Saturday after a broken strut delayed repairs. The pilot has offered overhead tours for ten dollars each, carrying twenty four passengers so far. The Canadian Curtis aircraft cost four thousand five hundred dollars a year ago. The plane will proceed to Fargo on Thursday and is based at Bonham's western Willmar residence.

Protest on First Street Sprinkling Contract Petition

South end residents filed a petition protesting the evening street sprinkling contract awarded by the former council citing extra expense. The council will hear the petition next Monday evening. Meanwhile other city sections favor sprinkling and may seek service this year if they pay. Townley to Speak at Lake Lillian June 15

A. C. Townley, president of the Farmers' Nonpartisan League, and Mr. Cook will speak in Swenson's grove on the northeast shore of Lake Lillian on Tuesday June 1st. They will arrive by aeroplane though time is unknown. A new flag pole for the courthouse grounds is in place to display Old Glory during events.

Landmark work begins on old Spicer buildings site

The demolition of the Spicer buildings at Fifth St and Litchfield Ave proceeds to clear space for a First National Bank branch. Victor Johnson relocated his news stand to the Central Hotel, sharing space with the Great Northern Express Company, and added a mobile outside stand with cigars and other goods.
