The St Johns Lutheran church in Raymond witnessed the wedding of Miss Alice Marie Peterson and Mr. Andrew G Nelson last Monday in a ceremony at 5 o clock. Rev R Lechner officiated as relatives and friends gathered with music from Rena Lembke and performances by Minnie and Tillie Van Haven. The bride wore a prune tricotine suit with blue lace hat and a corsage of roses and sweet peas. The groom’s sister in law served as attendant. An all white and red reception followed for about 50 in the church parlor. Out of town guests were listed and the couple planned a trip to several western and Canadian stops before settling at 823 East Fourth Street after July first.Mr Nelson is a partner in Nelson Bros Laundry.

Farm Bureau Picnic Draws Large Crowd in Sibley Park
The Kankyohi County Farm Bureau picnic in Sibley State Park drew about two thousand attendees from across the county on June 3. Lake Lillian and Sunbury band members provided music while horseshoe games and a tug of war entertained. Lake Lillian won the tug of war 3 to 2 over Sunbury as a county ball game ended in a close 3 to 2 score. A $55 collection was distributed to the band and ball boys.

A car of creamery butter was shipped May 24 from Willmar Station containing 799 tubs and a gross weight over 51 000 pounds. Through co operation of creameries, shipments are combined to form this car saving $320 versus less than car lot pricing. Five cars a week are now shipped this way.
